Care Package for Cairus

1. You talked a little bit about how you were interested in making work that allowed people to fill the spaces. How do you feel relational aesthetics plays into your work? Do you see your work in context of someone like Santiago Sierra's work, or, an author we recently read about in our breakaway book, Jennifer Dalton? What do think the audience is bringing in with them and adding to your pieces?

2. What does sensory overload look like in your work? I would check out "A second home" by Dennis Maher and Francesc Torres "The Hermetic Bell. Space for a Non-Transferable Anthropology." These pieces have a lot to do with memory and accumulation.

3. For your breakaway context you want to work with color, specifically this astroturf material that you have. How do you want to explore color? Is it color for color's sake, color studies, material experiments, a personal desire for color, or a connection to iconography? I think it's interesting also that the "color" you have chosen to work with is also a texture.
